Righteousness to Reconciliation

Last Friday, I got to teach through the first part of a very important chapter in the book of Romans to the student ministry at FKBC. Romans 5:1-11 sets the stage for how the way that Paul writes in the next three chapters (Rom. 6-8). Paul uses these key words like: suffering, righteousness, reconciliation, justification, and rejoice throughout Romans 5-8. I used examples from Guardians of the Galaxy and Herb Brooks to help the students understand that God is the perfect character builder and how that his sacrifice is so much greater than human sacrifice or Groot’s sacrifice to help protect the Guardians (sorry for the slight spoiler if you have not seen the movie).

I am attaching the teaching guide and Herb Brooks addendum below. Please feel free to use this teaching material for Bible Study and Life Group to help advance the Kingdom of God.
